Bradley Palmer State Park is a great place for adults and kids alike. This destination takes you to the south entrance, where several picnic tables, a wading pool, a bikeway and a few hiking trails will allow you to spend a full day or an afternoon full of activities for the whole family.

The parking lots inside the park are rarely open; most of the time, you will park on the small unpaved lot before the entrance and walk about 200 yards to the pool.

The main road along the pool is closed to car traffic. This bikeway is therefore a great way to explore the park safely with the little ones. Whether on your bike, on their own or in a bike trailer, children will enjoy this one-mile trek all the more as it allows you to reach the other side of the park where the headquarters are situated.

Please note that pool hours are restricted this summer, and as of August 2004, the pool was open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am-4 pm. There is a $5 daily use fee" by the following: "Please note that pool hours can be restricted in the summer to 10 am-4 pm, and that the pool can be closed on some days. It is best to call ahead of your visit to check opening hours (check number in "Good to Know" side bar). In summer, the park charges a $5 daily use fee.
