If you're a woman looking to improve her cross-country ski skills, then the Women's Nordic Ski Clinics at Notchview are for you! Geared for people with basic knowledge of Nordic ski, these clinics will get you gliding over the snow like you never thought possible.

Beginner clinics are designed for those who are comfortable on skis but have never before taken a lesson. While technique doesn't matter, beginner skiers must be able to move around on their skis without falling down. Intermediate clinics are for those who have skied for a while and need a lesson to fine tune their technique for ultra smooth glides.

Clinics start in the Colonel Arthur D. Budd Visitor Center at Notchview, where students will review equipment – including how to get a proper fit and how everything works. After this indoor primer, students head outside and spend 1.5 hours on the trail, skiing and learning. Afterwards, classes debrief back in the visitor center, and share a lunch or snack and hot chocolate while reviewing what was learned.

Notchview's 3,108 acres contain 35 kilometers of trails through woods and open fields. From groomed tracks to backcountry trails, there is challenging terrain for skiers of all levels. At an elevation of 2,297 feet, Notchview gets an average of 45 extra inches of snow each year! This enables the place to stay open later than many other cross-country ski areas, often offering skiing into March and sometimes April.

The reservation is largely worth the trip from Boston, especially if you bring along friends to take instruction together and share an invigorating day out in the snow.
